Fallout 4 VR To Get An E3 Demo
It has been ages since we have heard anything on the Fallout 4 for virtual reality front; however, Bethesda has gone on record and assured everyone that plans are still well under way. In fact, Pete Hines, Bethesda Vice President of PR and Marketing, recently spoke about the status of Fallout 4 VR among other things.
In an interview with none other than gaming personality Hip Hop Gamer, Hines spoke of a discussion he had with Lead Designer Todd Howard. Hines said:
“I talked to Todd the other day and I was like, ‘Hey how’s Fallout 4 [VR] coming?’ and he said, ‘Pete, Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you’ve ever seen in your life. You can’t even imagine what it’s like playing in VR and how realistic it looks with everywhere you turn your head. It’s gonna blow your mind. It’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen.’
…We will have it at E3.”
Details remain scarce outside of that limited demo we saw almost a year ago, but word is that multiple locomotion systems are in the works, as opposed to just teleportation. Hopefully this new demo at E3 has a lot more to show.
It is also worth noting Bethesda has other plans for E3, with three surprise titles set to be revealed. Also including a possible sequel to The Evil Within. We thought we would have seen this announcement last year but it appears Evil Within could very well be an E3 2017 reveal. Hopefully a new Wolfenstein too!
As for the other projects, your guess is as good as ours. Fallout 4 VR doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s slated to arrive for HTC Vive this year.
