Patch Notes for Version 1.1.1 Which Goes Live Today
The newest version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out today! The 1.1.1 update is ready for action, and Nintendo has released the complete patch notes in accompaniment. The update promises that “adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.”
Are you ready to read all the details about the patch? Well, those are all the details about the patch. It seems like Nintendo is playing things pretty close to the vest for now, content to assure us that things have gotten better. Have they? According to reports from players on NeoGAF, there has been a noticeable change in performance in a few key areas. Korok Forest and the Great Plateau come up repeatedly as benefiting from the fixes in question. The more widespread results are going to have to wait, while people run their own tests regarding performance and stability.
Depending on how you play the game, this might not even matter to you. Undocked is still allegedly the way to go, as the game runs much smoother, albeit at a lower framerate. Even prior to the patch, these dips in framerate didn’t have much impact on Breath of the Wild’s average review scores. Is this something you’ve noticed? Has your experience with the new Zelda game ever been marred by shoddy performance, graphic glitches or other slowdown? Let us know in the comments below!
