Check out the Places You’ll Be Visiting in the Third Expansion to Final Fantasy XIV
Today, we’re bringing a little of Final Fantasy XIV news from the keynote in Frankfurt, Germany. Particularly we’re showing off brand-new footage that was presented to fans. Through a series of videos, Square Enix introduced new areas and one job available in the upcoming expansion, Stormblood.
Not too long ago, when Stormblood was announced, we were treated to news about the new Red Mage Job and new lore that would be introduced into the ever-expanding world of Hydaelyn. The latest Job available through the new expansion, and the last, is the Samurai. Here’s a new hack and slash class to add some more combat dynamism. See the gameplay footage below:
Then, naturally, there are the newly-accessible areas coming with Stormblood. Introducing Kugane, the city of the far-east to be opened to foreign traders. Within its urban domain, you can visit Shirogane: the residential area. And just beyond the safety of its illustrious walls, there’s eastern wilderness. Catch a glimpse of everything in the three separate videos below.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood releases on June 20 for PC and PS4. On the day of announcement, Square Enix also revealed a special Collector’s Edition available for anyone seeking more Final Fantasy goodies.
