Revelation for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Battery Life Suggests It’s Nearly as Powerful as the Energizer Bunny
Time has moved relatively fast since January’s Nintendo Switch Presentation. But that’s because of the non-stop news and revelations that pour in with Nintendo. While we learned that battery charging for the portable Switch might last longer than the actual battery, here’s some good news. The Switch’s Pro Controller, according to its packaging info, lasts approximately 40 hours.
Not bad. Not bad at all when weighed against PS4’s Dual Shock 4 controller.lasts 7-8 hours and Microsoft’s Xbox One controller lasts 20+. That said, anyone seeking that longetivity in their controller simply must dish out the extra $69.99.It is a replacement for the standard Joy-Con; both include amiibo reading, but the Joy-Con has that remarkable HD Rumble Feature. So it really depends on the Nintendo Player’s preference.
Nintendo Switch’s Pro controller contains a lithium ion battery that is connected and recharged via USB cable, included. Additionally, while in TV mode, the Pro controller will automatically pair with the system; same applied with USB connection.
“At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch Dock that connects the system to the TV and lets you play with family and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting Nintendo Switch from the dock, the system will instantly transition to portable mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home now travels with you. The portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display. It brings the full home gaming system experience with you to the park, on an airplane, in a car, or to a friend’s apartment.”
Nintendo Switch releases everywhere on March 3rd, and is likely to be nowhere on store shelves. For more news as it comes, simply stay tuned to COGconnected. Happy gaming.
