Spoilers Incoming for Anyone new to the World of Horizon
As we prepare the composite weaponry for our great journey, we learn more about the world in Horizon Zero Dawn. Seeing as codes are currently being sent out, someone leaked the full map of the game. So anyone intent on seeing the new open world, can see it right now. But depending on how mystery-oriented you are, you may not wish to view its entirety. Nevertheless, here it is:
You have Mother’s Heart, Sunfall, and Meridan as the three major locations. After close analysis of the last E3 demo and this map, NEOGAF user Callibretto determined that the demo took place just north of Mother’s Heart. This draws a better perspective on the scale of this world. But as you witness those mountains, you can probably imagine that some places are untraversable, unless Guerrilla games went the Skyrim route and made all mountains awkwardly climbable.
Horizon: Zero Dawn has been in development since 2011, before the advent of PlayStation 4 and represents Guerilla Games’ next exclusive title following Killzone 3. Players will follow character Aloy in a post post-apocalyptic world as she hunts machines, scavenges parts, and harvests technology towards the goal of survival. All these aspects shall be accompanied by a narrative as players explore this world, meet new allies, and make new enemies.
We’ll see Horizon Zero Dawn finally release later this month on February 28. Until then, let us know your thoughts and anticipation. Are you excited to play as Aloy and explore Guerilla’s first open world? Let us know.
