In Case You’ve Ever Sought Creative Gun Play within a Notebook, Here’s Drawn to Death
Developer Bartlet Jones of Supernatural Detective Agency is happy to announce that their unique shooter, Drawn to Death, is coming to PlayStation 4 on April 4th. As the company headed by David Jaffe (creator of God of War and Twisted Metal), they’ve built a novel shooter and aesthetic that combines new meta-narrative.
Characteristics of the game derive from a teenage student’s notebook, where creatively drawn characters are pitted against one another in relentless arenas; A bit of arena-style combat with the wittiness and carnage of high-end FPS. To navigate the uncanny world of creative pencil-picked mayhem, players will only need $19.99 USD. As a game of fantasy destruction and endless inspiration for creation, there’s no telling what players can find within in-game maps. But everyone must coordinate and use their heads in order to successfully compete in the brawl.
This news follows SDA’s decision to abandon their original free-to-play model. In this way, Drawn to Death arrives in the traditional mode of console releases, doing away with mobile and PC kinsmanship. You can learn more below in the inside look with Jaffe:
And as a new type of third-person shooter, Jones wanted to highlight many of the “key” features:
-
Unconventional Combat
Combining each character’s unique arsenal of weapons with deep gameplay mechanics, Drawn to Death blurs the lines of a nuanced fighting game with the action of a competitive shooter. -
Show Your Skill
Players can level up characters by completing specific challenges. -
Solo and Team Play
Players will be able to face off in free-for-all and team based modes. Play with friends, or against the world. -
Extraordinary Visuals
The frenetic, pencil-sketch visuals add to the game’s in-your-face combat.
