Square Enix and Marvel Entertainment Sign a Multi-Year Contract Titled ‘The Avengers Project’
Square Enix and Marvel Entertainment team up and sign a multi-year, multi-game contract codenamed ‘The Avengers Project’. As you can probably already tell, the series of games that will be rolling out from The Avengers Project will be filled with characters and moments from Marvel’s beloved Avengers franchise. We won’t be seeing anything until early 2018, but that gives us something big to look forward to next year!
The same development teams behind the reboot of Tomb Raider (Crystal Dynamics) and Deus Ex (Eidos Montréal) will be at the front of this project, so we can expect to see something that’s more like the play style of those games, and less like the LEGO Avengers games that we’ve been getting over the past few years.
