NiOh Has Gone Gold

NiOh is another entry in the “Souls-like” genre. Players are thrust into the role of William, a samurai who is very loosely based on William Adams, and are tasked with conquering all sorts of nasty demons in ancient Japan. Demons aren’t the only creatures that you will encounter, as you’ll be dealing with other humans as well, and the combat presents a wide range of options for you on how to proceed. You can read our detailed NiOh hands-on HERE.

Today during a livestream from Tokyo, Koei Tecmo showcased new gameplay and a trailer of the upcoming PS4 exclusive NiOh, introduced by Director Fumihiko Yasuda. Koei Tecmo also announced that its next NiOh livestream will be held on January 20th (this Friday) at 22:00 JST. The livestream will feature director Yosuke Hayashi, as well as the reveal of a new stage, and tidbits of information. For those of you who want to watch it, you can right here on YouTube.

NiOh is slated to release exclusively on the PS4 on February 7th in North America, and February 8th in Europe.
