And Only Fire Emblem Fans May Be Able to Explain What’s Going on
Among the many lively announcements at the Nintendo Switch Presentation, there was something extra special. Nintendo has officially announced our next Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem Warriors seems like it may be the definitive name for the franchise. Why? Well, take a look at the trailer and let your nostalgia pinpoint certain teases.
Will we see Roy, Ike, Corrin, Marth, Chrom, Ephraim? All of the above and more? Â This was only a tease, and it hurts so good. But if Nintendo is in fact hinting a comeback of characters, we have a game to rally behind. More over, will it be a game in the classic vein of turn-based strategy? Or will it be something else entirely?
Nintendo Switch gets bonus points if we see the return of many fan favorites. Additional points if the actually manage to innovate the franchise in a positive way. From what we’ve learned about the system’s unique Joy-con controllers, new modes of gameplay are possible with first-party titles. Arms is just one example. But we’ll just have to wait and see what else comes.
And now that we know, we can tell you: Nintendo Switch will be released March 3rd at $299. Keep an vigilant eye out for those pre-orders. Meanwhile, we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the latest hardware and software. Happy gaming.
