Nintendo Switch Will Get 12 Months Exclusive Rights to Beyond Good and Evil 2, Rayman Legends, and New Rabbids Mario RPG
You may not have heard of Laura Kate Dale, but if you keep up on developments in the gaming world you’ve most definitely heard a gaming rumor that originated from her Twitter feed. Over the past several hours she has summed up, on her feed, what she thinks to be true about the upcoming Nintendo Switch launch. And for the most part, her predictions turn into fact.
It looks like Ubisoft will be throwing their hat in the ring with Nintendo by bringing a console exclusive to the switch. Beyond Good and Evil 2 which is code named, Odyssey, will be Switch exclusive for the first 12 months. After the first year, the game will be available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, but with the large following behind the first Beyond Good and Evil, it is definitely possible that this exclusivity will drive some console sales for Nintendo. Ubisoft is also said to have finished the initial trailer for project Odyssey, so make sure to watch out for its release in the next week or so.
In other rumor news, Rayman Legends will have a switch release with an updated version of the title to be announced during a Nintendo event on January 12th. The game will be a port of the original, which was released 3 years ago, but will most likely feature additional content.
Finally, we have a name for the Rabbids Mario RPG project – Rabids Kingdom Battle. There isn’t much information on this particular game, except for murmurings that it will be delayed. Expect the game to release around September instead of with the launch of the Switch. Despite the delay, we should still get a look at the project during the next Nintendo event, which should confirm all these rumors and give us more to look forward to about the launch of the Switch!
