Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV Exceeds Six Million Worldwide Shipments – In-Game Event ‘Moogle Chocobo Carnival’ Announced
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV reaches a huge milestone, shipping over six million copies of the game since its launch on November 29, 2016. The total sales number was collected from both physical shipped copies as well as digital downloads on PlayStation Store and Xbox Live worldwide. It should also be notably mentioned that Final Fantasy XV sold over five million units on its release date, which means that an additional million have been purchased since.
The latest installation in the whimsical and action-packed JRPG series will also be getting the promised in-game event very soon! On January 24th, gamers will be able to jump in and play “Moogle Chocobo Carnival” for a limited time. Luckily for those who downloaded the first DLC, the Holiday Pack (Free Version) or the Holiday Pack+, the “carnival passport” ticket should already be available for them to access the event when it starts.
More expansions, DLC packs, and features will be making their way to the game sometime soon, but until then, enjoy the Carnival.
