Aonuma Alludes to Multiple Endings During Recent Interview
Zelda games are not known for having multiple endings, outside of certain portable releases. Breath of the Wild looks like it will buck this trend, however.
According to a report from Wccftech, Eji Aonuma has confirmed at least one extra ending in Breath of the Wild. “There is an alternate ending if you meet certain criteria. If you do a few things, you may see a different ending,” He said during an interview with IGN Portugal. The remainder of said interview will be released soon, hopefully with even more details about the upcoming game.
On that note, what will the difference between the endings be? Previous entries in the Zelda franchise kept things fairly similar, with minor changes being made depending on whether you were playing the ‘Master Quest’ version of the game or not. With this next game being such a departure from the formula, will the different endings be properly different? This could be a reference to a comment made earlier about being able to go straight to the boss. It would be nice to see players rewarded for their dedication to such a suicidal dash to the end.
