Weโ€™ve covered it, weโ€™ve waited, and now weโ€™ve got it. Well, weโ€™ve got a demo, but the full game is close at hand! Play Nier Automata Demo

As some of you probably know, this new game follows the 2010 cult-classic, NIER. But now you follow the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2. In this demo you play as 2B, immediately jumping into the gigantic world of gigantic machines, slashing your way through hulks known as machine lifeforms. And many of them lie within a dark factory, just waiting to be blown up.

But Square Enix decided to treat the fans with their added collaboration bit. Apparently, the game will feature Noctisโ€™s Signature โ€œEngine Bladeโ€ from Final Fantasy XV and the โ€œCypress Stickโ€ from Dragon Quest. This is part of an intriguing collaboration to augment the playerโ€™s arsenal, and is undoubtedly NieR Automataโ€˜s way of nodding to its JRPG brethren. Alongside the demoโ€™s release is a trailer showcasing the weapons. Your first look at the fruits of their collaboration:

Simply more ways to have fun in what is quickly becoming one of the most highly anticipated RPGs releasing next year. NieR Automata will be available for the PlayStation 4 console on March 7, 2017. Pricing starts at $59.99 in North America and Steam in early 2017. You can buy the โ€œBlack Box Editionโ€  which is available for pre-order exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store for $189.99. Or pre-order Day One Edition at any participating retailer.
