World War 2 Game: Day of Infamy Reaches Beta

A Return to Fun World War 2 Multiplayer with New World Interactive

New World Interactive has been on the scene to keep gamers updated on their world war passion project. A game quickly turning out to be one of the most expansive World War 2 games in terms of factions, areas, and units. And today, December 23, 2016, they are happy to announce their entry into beta with a new trailer:

What originally began as a mod to their previous title, Insurgency, has transformed into an elaborate World War 2 First-person-shooter. A world to experience the multitude of intense battlefronts between the Wehrmacht and allies(Common Wealth and U.S. Armies). Furthermore, New World Interactive is adding content with beta release in the form of the following:

  • A new stats and rankings system with several rank levels to attain, and when players advance, their character model will display the arm patch of their rank.
  • A Unit system, which rewards players with cosmetic inventory adding diversity to each faction and expanding historic representation.
  • Air Support – All factions now have a Carpet Bombing option, while the U.S. Army have a Mustang strafing run and the Germans have a Stuka dive bomber, with their fearsome siren.

But NWI has also included a new playable unit per faction, true units based off those who served in the second world war: Gordon Highlanders(Common Wealth), 1st Ranger Battalion(US Army), and Infanterie Division(German Wehrmacht). These “First Wave” units are available exclusively to Early access customers. Thus, only players who purchase Day of Infamy before launch can use them. More historical units and content are currently in the works. For New World Interactive’s road map, visit http://evolvepr.cmail19.com/t/j-l-urhythl-uruivj-h/
