Trailer drops for 2017 sci-fi immersion, Hevn
Hevn is the latest curiosity depicting an immersive realm of sci-fi, and created by an up & coming developer. That’s right! We’re getting another No Man’s Sky!
Kidding! But if you like No Man’s Sky, more power to you. As of right now, we’re talking about the new Seattle-based indie developer, Miga. Their latest screen shots give us a glimpse of the world we’ll find in Hevn.
So what does it mean when a new indie developer endeavors to make something immersive? Possibly a hidden gem. Anyone in love with the sci-fi genre has a reason to be excited! Throw some cyberpunk into the mix and we get a story-driven world of action, survival, and simulation.
And here we have our first trailer:
Expecting that robot to say, “I’m afraid I can’t do that, Sebastian” somewhere down the line. But wow! The environment scored by that suspenseful music just secretes anticipation. If that music accompanies the game, we have much to look forward to.
Hevn’s Key Features:
• A richly interactive environment. Read magazines, wear different clothes, use devices and machinery, talk with robots, and much more!
• A simulated world, including a day/night cycle and random events
• Use your in-game tablet to communicate with family and friends back home, as well as managing your current situation
• Explore the world on foot, or use the hovering Cargo Transport to traverse the terrain with ease
• Eat, drink, sleep, or take medications to help you survive. Hunt alien life forms and harvest plants for food. But be wary, as no resource is infinite…
• Learn about the world by reading datagraphs for hundreds of objects. The more you read, the more expansive the story becomes
• Use in-game currency to purchase upgrades, food, medication, and more – or send money back to your family
• Use tools and weapons to survive – fending off critters and solving puzzles
• Textual localization support for many languages including French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and more
Hevn is set to release in Spring 2017 for PC and Mac–not too far away–and is anticipated to play in the vein of System Shock and Deus Ex. Although, it is likely to be nothing short of a unique experience.
Until then, jump into the comments section. Is Hevn an immersive sci-fi/cyberpunk game to look forward to? Are we fed up with immersive sci-fi and cyberpunk? Is that even possible?
