Update “Zero Dark” adds HTC Vive motion controller touchpad movement, something players have been giving feedback on for a while now, which will be continuously updated based on what the community recommends so, if you have something you’d like to say about the new controls, let them know! The Main Menu interface is now easier to navigate and doesn’t force players to go through the tutorial, so they can just dive in and play whichever gameplay mode they want! The “clunky” beginning of missions have also been simplified.

New gameplay modes include Arcade Mode and Mission Modifiers. In Arcade Mode, players must survive 24 waves of super tough dinosaurs in three different maps. Included in that wave of dinos is the giant T-Rex mentioned above, so if you make it through the hoards of tiny dinos, you know what to expect. As players progress through Arcade Mode, they can earn credits and level up, allowing them to spend those credits on sweet player and weapon upgrades. Players can also use these upgrades in Mercenary Mode, the next scheduled update coming to Island 359. Mission Modifiers allow players to play any map in Full Auto or Ranger Mode, with even more gameplay modes in this style rolling out with later updates.

As for the other updates in Zero Dark, full day and night cycles have been included for additional scenery and atmosphere, the interaction system overhaul and visual configuration option fixes allow player settings to be saved, and a visual indication of hands are now present, although it is far from the final design.

If you don’t have the game, it’s currently 25% off through Steam!
