Vibrant Neon Platformer ‘Mekazoo’ Hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov 15

Mekazoo, a vivid and neon-bright side-scrolling platformer from developer, Good Mood Creators will be launching on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this coming November 15th. Meant to be an homage to some of the classic 90’s platformers we all know and love, Mekazoo was revealed back in 2014. Featuring a solid soundtrack and five playable characters (Armadillo, Frog, Wallaby, Panda, and Pelican) each with their own abilities, the game’s challenge comes in constantly switching characters on the fly to progress.

You’ll start with the Armadillo, who wakes up one day to find all his friends have essentially been turned into big, bad end level bosses. Naturally, as you defeat the bosses they will revert back to their friendlier selves and also become unlocked as playable characters in the game. Starting with Armadillo, who can curl up into a ball and do boost charges all over the map you’ll gain access to Frog and his tongue swinging, Wallaby’s bouncing skills, Panda’s super strong (and super slow) abilities, and also Pelican’s ability to glide around levels. If you have a friend who wants to jump in with you, it’s possible to team up and do some couch co-op and combine abilities together.

The developer talked to the PlayStation Blog and said, “We envisioned a game that you can pick up and play for 20 minutes or two hours. A game you can play with your friends or kids, on your own couch, passing the controller in single player or in local co-op. The local co-op, in particular, will offer immense fun to players as it requires a hive-mind system.”

According to the developer will take approximately 15 hours to get through which is a solid length for a platformer. He also noted that there will also be tons of replay value to unlock new costumes and hidden secrets that unlock additional levels.
