Return to the World of Ivalice in Beautiful HD
At PAX West, we had a chance to visit Square Enix booth who allowed us a glimpse at the upcoming remaster for Final Fantasy XII. With added features, graphical enhancements and a revamped job system, there’s plenty to dive back into.
The high-definition remaster includes a reconstructed battle design along with the revamped job system. The Zodiac Job System improves the way your characters level and caters to the players play style.
Two new modes are being included as well; take on monsters or enemies in up to 100 consecutive battles it the all new trial mode, also speed mode which times how fast you can vanquish your enemies.
Visually, Final Fantasy XII delivers beautiful HD graphics. The cut-scenes are fully remastered and brings the world of Ivalice to life. There is also true 7.1 surround sound along with freshly recorded background music that uses a more updated, current-gem sound production.
With support from the PS4, there will also be new trophies to collect and the ability to share, auto-save and reduce loading times.
The original Final Fantasy XII released back in 2006 on the Playstation 2. It innovated the franchise by including an open world to explore and a seamless battle system that allowed free movement.
No release is slated for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age but it is confirmed to release sometime in 2017.
