Xbox One Claims Top Spot for Console Sales in July
For the first time in several months, it looks as if the Xbox One has risen to the top of monthly console sales in the US once again. Likely propelled by the price drop of the 500GB version of the console (Xbox One S wasn’t released yet), Aaron Greenberg was quick to jump on Twitter to tell us all about it exclaiming, “It’s nice to be back on top!”

As usual, the numbers which came from the independent research group NPD, were not revealed. If things swing in Microsoft’s favor through August it’s very likely they’ll come out on top again with the launch of the Xbox One S.
Moving forward into next year it will be really interesting to see how the two consoles duke it out with both receiving souped up versions of the existing hardware. In the end, we all come out on top, of course, providing that we all have spare cash for the machines. Best start saving everyone!
