Battlefield 1 Beta For Xbox One, PS4 and PC Now Live For Everyone

Battlefield 1 Beta Kicks Off

A couple of days ago we reported that for PlayStation 4 owners, DICE has confirmed that the Battlefield 1 Beta won’t require PlayStation 4 players to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. For Xbox owners you will need your Xbox Live Gold membership to play the Xbox One multiplayer Beta. Today EA announced the Battlefield 1’s Multiplayer Beta is now available to all players on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

All you need to do is head to Origin, the Xbox Store or PlayStation Store (depending on your platform) and search for Battlefield 1. It is really as simple as that.

Battlefield 1 hands-on

The Beta will take up about 6.1GB of space on console.

The Battlefield 1 Open Beta includes the new Sinai Desert map, which offers a diverse gameplay experience that takes advantage of all of the elements that make World War I a perfect setting for a Battlefield game. You’ll ride full speed on horseback across huge desert areas and hunt for enemies in narrow streets and alleys. You’ll wrestle over the skies with fighter planes or crush through the buildings with heavy tanks. When one side needs a boost, an Armored Train Behemoth will be spawned in order to up the challenge for the stronger team. The train offers a range of weapons and can make a huge difference if used effectively. It’s the clash of eras and technologies all wrapped into one hectic conflict, mixed together with classic Battlefield gameplay.

The Sinai Desert map will be playable on two modes in the Open Beta. One is the classic Conquest mode where up to 64 players can take to battle on the largest scale. The second is Rush mode with up to 24 players, where the Attacking force must find and destroy the Defending force’s Telegraph Posts.

Battlefield 1 releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC October 21.
