The Pokemon Craze Just Keeps Growing And “GO”ing
Pokemon GO continues to skyrocket in popularity, and Niantic already has plans to help the game grow to be more than just a fad. You’ve probably seen tons of people out and about playing the game, but a huge concern is whether Pokemon GO is just a fad with a meteoric rise in popularity, or if it is something that is here to stay.
Players wander the streets, as Pokemon appear via AR on their phones. They can also walk past various landmarks, gathering items, and eventually mustering up their forces to take on one of their town/cities numerous gyms on behalf of one of the three teams you can align with. Some players have noted that they are a bit less…blessed than other players, featuring no Pokestops around whatsoever. Fortunately, their luck is about to change.
Niantic has introduced a form on their site, where players can file requests to have new locations added to their general area. IT’s a nice nod to players who may not be getting the full experience, considering just how insanely popular the game has gotten. Not everyone has gotten to experience the unique feeling of community that the app creates, but that is looking to change very soon.
Sadly, not all of us at COGconnected are able to get their hands on the game, however, those that have note that the app is a ton of fun, and we can’t wait for the actual release of the game. Nearly everywhere else has gotten their hands on the game for some time now, but hopefully we will be able to get caught up in the quest to become Pokemon Go masters soon enough.
