Adam Boyes Departs Sony
Adam Boyes has quite easily become one of the most recognizable faces at PlayStation, but all good things must come to an end. The Vice President of Developer and Publisher Relations is leaving Sony.
The Sony Exec announced his departure from Sony on an episode of the PlayStation Blogcast and on Twitter today.
Boyes says he’s leaving the PlayStation company, where he worked closely with third-party publishers and developers to bring their games to Sony’s console, to return to game development.
After an incredible journey here at PlayStation, I’ve made the very hard decision to return to the world of game development!

On the surface it appears Boyes will be departing the company on positive terms. He described his soon-to-be-vacant role as a “dream job”. There is no question he’ll be missed by Sony’s senior management. He along with the likes of Mark Cerny, Andrew House, and Shuhei Yoshida helped Sony connect with fans. Boyes spearheaded the PlayStation 4’s relationship with Destiny and helped the PS4 become the console of choice for many gamers around the world.
PlayStation fans likely recognize Boyes from Sony’s biting instructional video from 2013 that explained how to share used games on PS4. See below:
