Skyrim Special Edition Is Real And Coming To Xbox One, PS4 And PC

Bethesda Announces a Prettier Skyrim Special Edition

Bethesda just did the equivalent of a mic drop by announcing the Skyrim Special Edition which completely overhauls the graphics, Tamriel is more vibrant and textures were added to the environments along with included ‘god rays’. It looks as if it will support mods as well in a similar way to how Fallout 4 has it set up.

Here’s the trailer along with Fallout 4 DLC announcements:

Since its release over 5 years ago, Skyrim continues to have a large fan base due to the extensive modding support. It has sold over 20 million copies and ranks in the top 20 best selling game of all time. Gamers have been calling for a remastered version that’s supported on next-gen consoles and Bethesda answered those calls with Skyrim Special Edition.

In other E3 Bethesda news, they unveiled an Elder Scrolls card game called Legends available on mobile, as well The Dark Brotherhood DLC for Elder Scrolls Online. If you’re an Elder Scrolls fan then there’s enough content here to keep you busy.

Skyrim Special Edtion releases on October 28 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
