Sea of Thieves Gets New Image
Rare’s Sea of Thieves is easily one of our most anticipated games of E3 and we hope to get a closer look at the show next week.
Sea of Thieves is an upcoming adventure game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.
At this point there is no current release date; however, the development team has been trucking away at the project as evidenced by their Twitter feed.
Today the developer shared a new piece of concept artwork on Twitter.
Sails unfurled, rum stocked and cannons primed. This #SeaOfThieves concept makes me want to go on an adventure… pic.twitter.com/h7Ntt2WfVd

The artwork looks fantastic, showcasing a pirate galleon docked at a rickety pier.
Sea of Thieves, is a new IP for the studio. The pirate-themed multiplayer game, described as Rare’s most ambitious title to date, allows players to group together to explore islands, seek out treasure and fight enemies. It is a colourful and cartoonish tropical world, with dense jungle and a harbour area. Player names appear over their avatars, suggesting an MMO-like experience. Once assembled together in a group, players will be able to take to the ocean in their own vessels, explore the world and do battle with other groups of players in their very own ships. Expect cannonfire and ship-ramming in these high-seas encounters.
Like we said at the top, we cannot wait to see this at E3.
