Metal Gear Solid Pachinko Machine Infuriates Fans
The days of innocently joking about Konami making a Metal Gear Solid pachinko machine are over, because it’s happening and to no one’s surprise, the Internet hates it.
For the uninitiated, pachinko is a type of Japanese gambling device, alike a cross between a pinball machine and a slot machine.
This trailer currently has around 35 000 dislikes to 1000 likes, reminiscent of the recent Call of Duty: Infinite War debacle. It shows off footage of The Boss and Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater re-made in The Phantom Pain’s Fox Engine, to be used for the pachinko machine. This fact alone seems to be infuriating fans of the franchise the worst, as the beloved MGS3 in the Fox Engine looks absolutely stunning.
The pachinko machine itself is designed around the franchise, complete with a vivid green snake and the iconic red exclamation point. According to the trailer, the Metal Gear Solid pachinko machine has a 32-inch screen and will be in full HD. It will be available Autumn 2016.
Last year, Konami revealed Silent Hill and Castlevania pachinko machines, and really, it was only a matter of time before Metal Gear Solid faced the same fate.
