FIFA 17 J1 League Inclusion Is Another Step On The Path To Complete Inclusivity
The FIFA franchise has been getting more inclusive over the years. With FIFA 16 it was the addition of Women’s teams. This year, FIFA 17 is including the Meiji Yasuda J1 League, Japan’s top football league. The FIFA 17 J1 League inclusion is a first for the series, and adds another layer of depth to an already swollen list of features. The J1 League is one of the most watched leagues in Asia and has been one of the most requested league additions by fans – so welcome to the world of FIFA 17 J1 League!
“The partnership with the J1 League is great news for our global fan base,” said Nick Channon, Senior Producer of FIFA 17. “It adds authenticity to the game, depth and new content to game modes, and most importantly, it answers a big request from football fans around the world.”
In addition to all 18 clubs featuring authentic logos, kits, and rosters, the new Suita City Football Stadium, home of Gamba Osaka, will be available in FIFA 17. Content from J1 League clubs will also feature in FIFA Ultimate Team and across other game modes in FIFA 17.
J League chairman Mr. Murai added “I expect that J1 League fans and supporters in Japan and football fans across the world will enjoy playing with the J1 League in FIFA 17.”
FIFA 17 launches on September 27, 2016 in North America and September 29 worldwide.
