Official Statement over the Cancellation of Allison Road Released

P.T. Spiritual Successor Allison Road Cancelled over “A Mutual Agreement”

Eleven days after we reported on the cancellation of Allison Road, the official statement regarding the matter was released on Facebook.

Here is the tweet from June 4, originally announcing that the P.T. spiritual successor had been cancelled.

And here is the tweet from Lilith Ltd. linking the Facebook statement:

The fan-made project had a Kickstarter campaign which was cancelled after the team signed with Team17, the developers of the Worms franchise. The game’s prospects had been looking up, as the Kickstarter update stated that, “for us it’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports developers.”

In the Facebook post, however, the developers stated that “after a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.”

Lilith Ltd. goes on to say, “sometime [sic] things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated!”

Allison Road had been a highly anticipated horror game. After Silent Hills was cancelled, fans had begun the project, and it was regarded as the Playable Teaser’s spiritual successor.

The game was to be released this Fall for the PC.
