Rumour has it that Microsoft will unveil a 2TB Xbox One model at E3 2016
We might already know about one of Microsoft’s planned E3 2016 surprises, if GameSpot and GameStop are correct. Apparently, a GameStop source has told GameSpot that the store’s internal database has been recently updated to show a listing for a 2TB Xbox One model. According to the report, the system will be priced at $449. At this time, a placeholder release date of December 31st, 2016 is what is showing, so we can presumably expect the new system to arrive later this year. Check out this image and see for yourself:
So far, that’s it for details about the new planned Xbox One console – if the report is right. Other than the larger hard drive size, nothing is clear yet as to how the new system will be different from existing Xbox Ones. For their part, Microsoft will not comment, saying to GameSpot that “We do not comment on rumors or speculation.”
As we reported right here, Microsoft recently dropped the price of the current Xbox One to $299 ahead of E3. They are also reportedly working on an “Xbox One Slim” model, which might come as early as this Summer.
