shomi Launches May 3 on Xbox One
On Tuesday, May 3, shomi members can start thinking “inside the box” when the app launches on Xbox One.
Starting this week, members can use the Xbox Live network on Xbox One to watch all the shows and movies they love, kids and family content, and shomi Collections.
Xbox One owners will also be able to stream exclusive and buzz-worthy series, like Mr. Robot, Mad Dogs, SuperMansion, and Catastrophe, along with day-and-date releases of hit series Empire, Jane the Virgin, Fresh Off the Boat, iZOMBIE, and The Originals.
The shomi app on Xbox One gives members the full app experience, in HD quality, with great new content added weekly.
How does it work? First, as a member secure your activation code through the shomi app on Xbox One after downloading the app from the Xbox store on your console. Then head to shomi.com/activate, select Xbox One, and log in.
Once you enter your activation code you’ll be ready to start streaming on your Xbox One. Members can access all that the app has to offer, including the full functionality of the online experience such as adding titles to your Later list, enjoying curated Collections for all ages, creating up to six profiles per account, and easily resuming from where you left off. Just log on and start the binge!
Other shows streaming exclusively on the app include complete seasons of favourites like Sons of Anarchy, Vikings, and Justified; prior seasons of comedies, such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, 2 Broke Girls, and Modern Family; and iconic hits, including One Tree Hill, The Office, and M*A*S*H. Members will also discover great movies, hand-picked shomi Collections, plus kids and family favourites to enjoy together. Canadians can visit shomi.com to learn more about the streaming service, to subscribe and to start their 30-day free trial.
Entertainment lovers can enjoy the app online, on select tablets, mobile devices, set-top boxes (on Rogers Channel 300 or through the Shaw On Demand menu), Xbox 360, Apple TV, Chromecast, PS4 and now on Xbox One.
