Go Rogue With Friends in Rogue Stormers!

Black Forest Games’ send up to Contra and Metal Slug comes out today for PC, where they can partake in some good ol’ fashioned four-way firepower. In Rogue Stormers, you can bring your A-game on your own, or enlist your best buds to help shoot up all sorts of creatures, ranging from your garden variety Orcs and Goblins, to all sorts of Eldritch abominations. There’s a wide variety of creatures, both organic and not that are aching for a serving of hot lead, so it’s up to you to help show them who’s boss!

For fans of the blisteringly hardcore series such as Contra and Metal Slug, fans can expect a faithful homage to that style of gameplay, with a few fresh twists, such as procedurally generated enemies, landscapes and sick loot that changes very time! There are also persistent perks, which has earned Rogue Stormers the apt comparison of “Rogue Legacy but with Guns”. Bear in mind, this is no cheap knock off. Rogue Stormers is one hell of a fresh package, filled with a ton of replay value thanks to each run of the game being unique.

Rogue Stormers

Rogue Stormers throws you in the world of Ravensdale, where an omniscient evil threatens the safety of the city. In order to stop it, you need to kick the ass of seven increasingly difficult levels, and if you die, you’re back to square one. There’s no training wheels here, but fortunately, with each run you get a little bit stronger thanks to the persistent perk system. Once you earn a perk, it’s yours, and it will be your best friend when you’re filling a gnashing monstrosity with too many eyes and too many teeth with hot lead. Or lasers. Whatever floats your boat!

Rogue Stormers drops today on Steam. Featuring on-and-offline co-op with up to four players, this massive adrenaline trip retails for $19.99, with phat discounts for 2-Packs ($29.99) and 4-Packs ($49.99). For its first week on Steam, Rogue Stormers is on sale for a 20% off discount. So find your friends, arm up, and get ready to kick some monstrous ass!

Don’t worry though, PS4 and Xbox One owners. The game is slated to release on those platforms later, so keep your eyes peel and your guns cocked!
