Post-Apocalyptic Survival Game ‘The Final Station’ Rides the Rails Onto Steam in Summer 2016

tinyBuild Games, makers of games with cute retro graphics but serious subject matter, are back to play with our heads once again, with Post-Apocalyptic survival title ‘The Final Station.’ In this new title, coming to Steam in Summer of 2016, you ride the rails, just like hobos of old, but you also have to fend off hordes of hungry infected along the way. This promises to be one ride you won’t soon forget.

Check out this gorgeous announcement trailer, courtesy of the developers:

Here is a description, courtesy of tinyBuild:

“The world is over. But it’s not quite over for you… at least, not yet. And now that you’ve acquired thousands of tonnes of locomotive, ready at your disposal, ready to take you as far down the tracks as you have fuel to feed it – you’ve got the definite advantage over the infected hordes. The real question is whether or not you’ll bring survivors on-board with you, or leave them out there to fend for themselves. Sometimes people can be more trouble than they’re worth.”

Game Features:

  • A post-apocalyptic survival game in a similar vein to This War of Mine
  • Survive for as long as you can by riding the rails, finding fuel along the way
  • Infected are ready to stop your progress whenever you exit the train to look for supplies
  • Pick up survivors on your travels, gaining perks (and hindrances) for your troubles

Plus, we have word from the devs themselves that a version of the game will be playable at PAX South 2016 this year. If you are interested in being one of the lucky few, check out tinyBuild’s PAX website here to book a slot.

tinyBuild has been busy of late – they recently announced a boxing management sim, ‘Punch Club,’ which is fighting for its life as we speak on Twitch. ‘The Final Station’ will be coming to Steam (PC/Mac/Linux) in Summer of 2016.
