Developer Dragon Slumber, from the great white north of Canada (eh!) has dropped info today on its upcoming release, Arelite Core. Inspired by JRPGs of old with some new innovation thrown it is the result of hard work from indie developer, Kevin Giguere who developed the game’s engine entirely from scrap. Inspired by the quality of 16-bit JRPGs he’d seen over they years, Kevin has devoted the past three years of his life bringing this labor of love to fruition. Now it doesn’t always work this way but games developed purely for the love of making games have a funny way of working out to be pretty awesome. It’s amazing what a little genuine inspiration and excitement can net you.
The disciples of the evil Talameq are seeking to restore their master to power. The fate of the world rests upon the shoulders of our heroes.
