Revolution Software announced that Broken Sword 5 is coming to the console platform starting on September 8 (for PlayStation 4) and September 11 (for Xbox One).
According to the press release, the Broken Sword series has sold over 5 million copies worldwide, and the upcoming console launch represents the latest iteration of the critically acclaimed series.
Broken Sword 5 on the console offers a complete adventure package (as the PC version released earlier was launched as two separate content purchases), and supports a new controller-optimized interface to further enhance the console experience.
Revolution Software, founded in 1990 by legendary game director Charles Cecil, is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. Revolution creates highly accessible, story-driven adventure games rooted in the studio’s passion for adventure gaming.
Broken Sword 5 digital versions will be published by Revolution through PlayStation Network and Xbox Games Store. Retail versions will be distributed in partnership with Koch Media throughout Europe and EMEA by Ravenscourt.
