This September, Hardline Premium members get a chance to take a look at Battlefield’s newest mode: 5v5 Squad Heist in the latest expansion: Robbery. Piggybacking on the current trend set by games like Payday and GTA V, Battlefield: Hardline is now offering an opportunity to steal loot and try to escape, but with a twist. Unlike most other games, the other team is playing as the cops trying to stop the heist and save the day, leading to (hopefully) much more diverse gameplay and less opportunities to complete missions in part by manipulating the enemy AI. This could be a great new objective mode if done properly, catering to many gamers who prefer a smaller match size and a more focused goal.
Along with the Squad Heist mode, purchasers will also be getting four maps, four new weapons, two new gadgets, two new vehicles and new upgrade vehicles, along with new camos and vehicle paints. This expansion also comes with the Legendary Super Feature, allowing players to replay through the progression system much like the Prestige system in Call of Duty. It sounds like a pretty decent DLC package, offering a lot of variety to keep players entertained. Non-premium members will gain access to Robbery two weeks after the premium release, likely for the same price as the first expansion, Criminal Activity for $14.99 USD.
