Despite the overwhelming success the PS4 has enjoyed in the current generation of consoles, the PlayStation Network has often been reviled as having lots of issues. Downtime, frequent bugs that prevent the PlayStation Store from loading, and poor organization and search functions are just a few of the complaints users have had.
Well, it seems that some fans have had enough – and they are demanding that Sony finally do something about all these PSN annoyances. #BetterPSN is a new campaign started by NeoGAFfers that calls on Sony to deal with the problems with their network services. The campaign has gained support on Reddit and Twitter, and now has its own website, called “betterpsn.com.”
On the website, you can vote for your top most-wanted change to the PlayStation Network. Here are some of the top items:
- Online/offline (invisibility) status change
- Enhanced user profile page showing favorite games, screenshots/recordings, game wishlist, deeper activity sections (game statistics)
- Continuous trophy syncing
- Better friends list functionality with nicknames, grouping by categories (games, relationship), and VIP tags tied to the notification system
- Viewing friends’ online statuses across PS3, PS4, and PSV
- Account region change
- Let us add another primary console for a multi-console household
