Today, 2K and Firaxis (via a press release directly from 2K) revealed that the Muton returns in XCOM 2.
Similar to the Sectoid in XCOM 2, the Muton has received a dose of human genes and is more deadly than ever.
The Muton is still a brute in close combat, but now can take advantage of the intellect of the human mind.
