Devil’s Third Dev Responds to Negative Rumors

In a Facebook post, Tomonobu Itagaki, the developer behind the upcoming Wii U game Devil’s Third, responded to rumors that Nintendo was not going to publish the game. The rumors were given credence when Unseen64, a group known for breaking inside information in the gaming industry, posted a YouTube video explaining that Nintendo of America had no plans to release the game.

Itagaki, whose previous work includes Ninja Gaiden, put a post on his Facebook page entitled “Calm Down,” in which he answered the rumors only by saying “which do you believe: me or such site?” He did not specifically discount the rumors directly, but only said “the world brims over with lies and rumors. Thanks always, mates.”

Devil’s Third, a hack and slash shooter, was originally set to be published by THQ on all platforms, but later has moved to become a Nintendo-exclusive.
