A press release from Deck13 and publisher Focus Home Interactive has revealed that the Lords of the Fallen developer is working on a brand new RPG to be fully revealed sometime soon. Currently content to keep the title in mystery they offered up a single screenshot and a brief description stating it’s an RPG IP set in a dystopian sci-fi future to be revealed by name at a later date. The new game will feature innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat.
Hopefully, Deck13 has learned some things from their experience with Lords of the Fallen that they’ll being forward to this new title. While LotF had a lot of good things going for it there were some janky things that held it back from being a great title. Screen tears, frame rate drops, and questionable hit detection were just a few of the problems experienced by many gamers.
For now though, we look at one single teaser screen and we wait. We can speculate and dream… but ultimately we wait.
