Frictional Games have announced a September 22nd launch date for SOMA on PC and PS4. SOMA is an upcoming sci-fi horror experience from Frictional Games, creators of the genre-defining Amnesia and Penumbra series. Apart from some live action teaser trailers and a very cryptic puzzle that was posted online there is very little know about the game. Thankfully, due to the clever work of dedicated fans deciphering the secrets of the recent ARG, the newest gameplay trailer has been unlocked to give you a taste of some of the gameplay.
Something is happening in PATHOS-2. Communications have gone dark. Key personnel have gone missing or been declared dead in preceding weeks, and the machines are acting…strangely, almost human.
Despite there being a lot of mystery still surrounding SOMA it has us interested. Part sci-fi, part survival horror and with any luck ALL SCARY. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more information on Frictional’s latest.
