DiRT Rally From Codemasters Now on Steam Early Access

Start your engines!  PC fans of the racing series DiRT can now get Early Access to the upcoming title – DiRT Rally – on Steam.  Codemasters says on Steam’s DiRT Rally FAQ that those who buy the game in the Early Access stage will get all of the 36 rally stages, spread across such venues as Monte Carlo, Greece, and Wales, and all of the 17 cars.

In addition, Early Access players are invited to submit feedback and bug reports to the developer – feedback will result in updates and changes going forward.  Codemasters says that any changes or additions made to the game as a result of feedback will be available to Early Access buyers at no extra charge.  DiRT Rally is out now on Steam for $35 (10% off until May 4th) – for Windows only.

If you are a DiRT fan and have a console or a MAC, sorry, you are out of luck for the moment.  However, Codemasters says “if there is sufficient demand” for a console version, they will consider the idea.  It’s not clear what constitutes “sufficient demand” – angry emails?  Screaming mobs?  Only time will tell.
