The Game Marketing Awards® (GMA), the first and only U.S. program which honors the top creative work produced by and for the video game marketing community, has announced the finalists for its 10th annual program.
This year, the GMAs received a record high number of entries, surpassing 2014’s submissions by nearly 20%. The GMAs celebrate the best practices in marketing, promotion and advertising for the video game and interactive entertainment community. Winners will be honored at the 10th Annual Game Marketing Awards, hosted by Jeff Leach, hit actor and comedian best known for hosting appearances with BBC, Current TV and ITV, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Top finalists receiving the most nominations for the 2015 Game Marketing Awards include:
- 2K
- Activision
- AKQA
- Ant Farm
- Electronic Arts
- g-NET
- Heat
- Microsoft Xbox
- Midnight Oil
- Sony Computer Entertainment America
- Ubisoft
For the uninitiated, the GMAs recognize marketing excellence in 42 categories, from Outstanding Overall Marketing Campaign of the Year, to Best PR Campaign, Best Game Footage Trailer and many more. Sure, it’s not a “game of the year” type thing, but hey, these companies employ a lot of people who design and create some pretty cool marketing campaigns, so like the games themselves, they deserved to be recognized too.
