Red Bull LAN Seattle Rings in a New Kind of eSports Competition

This year, more than 20 million people from around the globe tuned in to watch The International 4, the marquee tournament for the competitive team videogame, DOTA 2, from Bellevue, WA based game developer, Valve, played by more than 7.8 million players worldwide.

This weekend at the Red Bull LAN Seattle, local fans can participate in a one-of-kind DOTA 2 event that puts them on the tournament floor. 100 players will compete in this open registration tournament – but what happens if there are a few ringers in the mix?

In addition to the fan registrants, a handful of globally ranked eSports pros will join in the action. Teams are created randomly and reshuffled after each match, giving DOTA 2 devotees the chance to compete alongside a gaming genius!
