Ankama is making WAKFUÂ even easier for players to enjoy by releasing the game today on STEAM. Effective today in the US, all players can log on to STEAM and explore the artistically vibrant, feature rich online world. Additionally, players of the client version will be treated to a revamped WAKFU that is completely subscription-free.
For WAKFU’s release on STEAM, the game’s tutorial has been entirely reworked in order to provide a better game introduction experience. Also, participants from the WAKFU closed beta will receive the “Paravortal” decoration as a reward for their contribution. Designed from Valve “Portal” famous game, this reward is the perfect item to symbolize the partnership between both companies.
In addition, Booster Packs are available in WAKFU for purchase using in-game currency to provide experience boosts, increased item drops and other convenience features. There are three levels of Booster packs, each lasting for a different period of time:
One-day Booster Packs
- 5% increase to experience and Kamas at the end of combat

- Share items with all characters of same account
- XP Bonus re-roll
Seven-day Booster Packs
- 10% increase to experience and Kamas at the end of combat
- Fill HP gauge more quickly

- XP Bonus re-roll
30-day Booster Packs

WAKFU is a tactical MMORPG game developed by Ankama Group where players encounter vast possibilities to impact the game world with tactical, strategic and political decisions. A unique political system allows players to create laws and initiate conflicts, shaping the environment with game-altering effects. Decisions also have a dramatic effect on the truly vibrant, living ecosystem of WAKFU. If too many animals are killed without a chance to reproduce, or too many plants harvested without resowing, they’ll disappear forever.
In addition to the MMORPG launching on STEAM, players now also have access to the WAKFU anime through Netflix since Sept. 15.
