Ubergizmo is reporting that Activision has announced that the Xbox One version of Diablo 3, set to release later this month, will be getting a day one patch to bump up the resolution from the previously announced 900p to 1080p.
As noted by Ubergizmo:
“According to a spokesperson, “We’ve now confirmed that following a day one patch, the Xbox One version of UEE will run at full HD 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second (up from 900p, 60 fps).” Previously it was suggested that this could be the case, thanks to Microsoft unbundling the Kinect from the console, which in turn helped free up some processing power.”
We figure that this is good news for critics of Microsofts next-gen console and it shows that indeed programmers are taking advantage of what is under the hood. We hope to see you hunting loot later this month.
