Looks like Nathan Drake’s long journey to the big screen has taken another major step forward. Sony recently delayed The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (we can only assume due to how poorly the second one was received), pushing it back all the way to 2018. Stepping up to fill the shoes that Spider-Man leaves is the long gestating Uncharted movie, now set to be released on June 10, 2016.
With all the trouble the Uncharted movie has had making it to the big screen, some doubted it would ever make it to the theatres. But director Seth Gordon-Green recently revealed shooting could start as early as next year, seemingly backed up by Sony’s decision to move the film into a 2016 release date. The biggest question about the new adaptation that remains is, of course, who will play Nathan Drake?
