Could Microsoft be in trouble? Is this a sign of the Xbox One’s demise?
According to Now Gamer, Microsoft will be making what Bloomberg describes as “its biggest round of job cuts in five years”, cuts which may eclipse the 5,800 jobs the company cut in 2009.
The yet to be announced job cuts will allegedly impact on Microsoft’s Xbox division, in particular the marketing departments for the global Xbox team.
It is not yet clear to what extent, if at all, other areas of the Xbox division will be affected.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had pledged support to the Xbox division in a recent memo that was circulated to employees, but it now seems that support doesn’t extend to saving some of its employees jobs.
