No Discount for PS3 Owners of Last of Us for Remastered PS4 Version

Fans of last year’s classic Last of Us on PS3 won’t be getting an ‘upgrade discount’ when Sony releases the remastered version of the game on PS4 on July 29th. Today’s confirmation comes after Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli said in April that Sony was considering a potential upgrade offer.

Initially, the game was released as a $60 game, but Sony slashed the price by $10 and added that multiplayer DLC purchased on the PS3 version would be available for no charge on the PS4.

The PS4 version will run in 1080p at 60fps and will include all the previous DLC and commentary from the director, Neil Drukmann, and voice stars Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. Sony declined to comment on why there would be no upgrade path available ahead of the release at the end of the month.
