Dragon Age Inqusition Delayed to November

This may come as a relief to many of you out there who are dreading the October slam of games on the way because it looks like one of that month’s most anticipated titles is getting a new release date. Dragon Age Inquisition, which was originally on tap for an October 7th release has now been pushed six weeks back to November 18th. Looks like your wallet might get a stay of execution for a few weeks.

According to the DA website the delay is so the team can work on, “polishing the experience we want you to see.” Mark Darrah, the game’s producer, made the announcement and thanked fans for their support and patience. Darrah stated that the team is still improving the overall experience, and is, “Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero’s choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on.”

Sure this might be a little disappointing for eager fans awaiting this game but a little extra spit shine never hurt right? Dragon Age Origins has gone down as one of the most heralded and loved RPGs of all time but it’s rushed successor felt small and incomplete in comparison. If a small amount of extra time allows BioWare to give gamers the experience they’re hoping for then we can stomach that. In fact, we’d encourage it because no one want another Dragon Age 2.
