The King of the Court is headed to the Big Apple! Virgin Gaming’s massive month-long online video game tournament concludes this Saturday, April 19, starting at 6pm EDT with a two-hour, head-to-head showdown airing live on Major League Gaming’s MLG.tv. Throughout the month of March, PS3 players have faced off to claim the throne on top of the NBA 2K14 Virgin Gaming leaderboards, and now two finalists remain.
Semaj Riddick from Virginia and Tommy Zak from Wisconsin will compete live from MLG’s New York studios where one of them will be officially crowned 2014’s King of the Court. This time around they’ll be playing on PlayStation 4 in a “best 2 out of 3” format. The winner will walk away with $5,000 cash, a trip to the 2014 NBA Finals, a PlayStation4 NBA 2K14 bundle, and ultimate bragging rights.
The broadcast will stream live on Saturday, April 19 at 6pm at www.mlg.tv/kingofthecourt and the new MLG.tv apps for iOS (www.mlg.tv/iosapp) and Android (www.mlg.tv/androidapp).
