The Weekly Famitsu held a top 30 poll ranking upcoming games, and from the information collected, we can see that gamers are leaning towards the PlayStation 4 version over the Nintendo 3DS version. Dragon Quest XI landed the very top spot with 1012 overall votes, while the Nintendo 3DS version came in third place with a total of 687 votes.

The Japanese website Game Watch also launched a Twitter poll, asking gamers which version they’re looking forward to getting. The results were very clear, as you can see. 2,245 people voted, with a total of 57% voting for the PlayStation 4 version and a total of 20% saying that the Nintendo 3DS version is more attractive (6% 3D mode and 14% 2D mode). 23% bold gamers stated they’d be getting both versions.

Although the fact that these polls don’t reflect the Nintendo Switch version of the game totally throws these polls off, since it’s already been confirmed for the next gen console by both Square Enix and Nintendo, and Switch gamers surely won’t be ignoring the latest installment in the classic Dragon Quest series.
